Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer Awareness Hair Extensions/Feathers-

During October 2011 Trisha’s Salon staff will be offering pink hair extensions/feathers to clients who want to support the cause for breast cancer awareness. The service will be offered for a donation of $10 per extension, or feathers ranging from $10 to $30.
The entire amount will be sent to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. NBCF has committed themselves to fight breast cancer by funding free mammograms for those who otherwise could not afford them. NBCF also supports research facilities all around the U.S. for fighting this battle.

Trisha Rhoads and Amanda Dunkelburger attended Carmody Harmon’s class on cutting and finishing Sunday March 20th, 2011. Carmody is a stylist from New Zealand who specializes in cutting & finishing. The class focused on two different looks.

GRUNGE LOOK-was a medium length disconnected bob cut that was termed as a grunge type style that could be styled two different ways- fashion wearable and night out runway look.

FASHION LOOK- this was also a disconnected bob that could be worn two ways after styling- wearable everyday and aggressive texture pumped up with styling products.

At this years 2011 New York Hair Show March 9th Trisha attended Misael Aponte’s color class. Misael is a Master Stylist/Salon Owner from Arizona. He has innovated ideas on hair color combinations & placement techniques which have earned him the recognition as a Color Visionary. He spoke and tutored the group on his Veils, Curtains & Drapes color placement theories. It’s best described as a linear slicing method in complete harmony with the architecture of the haircut.
